Summer 2011

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unspotted from the world”….James 1:27
With our partners, Jack/Linda Park and The Crossing Church of Woodlands, TX,
A five-member Sharing Medical Team was launched to the West bank/Israel, site of thousands of years of unceasing violence, trouble, disputes and…..promise. Unless the Word in deed is brought into impossible situations like these, nothing can happen…..and they cannot be touched unless someone is sent. The Lord led Sharing to send Team members Dr.Temitope Soares, Nurses Yvonne Shuman, Kim Kraft and Logistics coordinator Matt Maxwell to the Palestinian Christian village of Zababdeh and the Muslim town of Tubas to help support the courageous ministry of a gifted brother, George Kawaneh of Hand of Love Ministries who lives in Nazareth and works primarily in the West Bank/Palestine….he writes in his report…..
“The Sharing medical team came from USA to work in three villages, Zababdeh, Tubas, and Tel Aviv. In Zababdeh village 152 people came to see the doctors. We helped the people with medicines. With the cooperation with the Red Crescent we have 62 Muslims come for treatment.
In Tel Aviv Area we treated 25 patients, refugees from Sudan. After the medical team completed their work, we went to work passing out the medicine door by door and sharing our faith. The visits were fruitful and 10 people accepted Christ. Praise God! We were able to leave with them a booklet called “ Your Story” and a book called “ Power to Change”. The local pastor was very encouraged with all the visitation and results of what God was doing.
We were blessed because the door opened for us to meet the governor of the town. He was very excited with the work and was willing to help us in the future. He even called a reporter and they did a nice piece in 2 different famous newspapers about the work. “

We are exploring other ways Sharing can be a blessing to the Middle East…please pray with us that he will lead us to the projects that will have the most impact for the Kingdom.
